FInal Tribute

Well the run has been good, the crowds amazing, and the work has been so satisfying. I want to thank all of the people who have made this possible, and especially Migiwa Orimo, for providing the space and the vision that allows the artist to fully realize their dream. Thank you everyone and thank you, thank you to the booth, a vessel and a home for the work of many. The life of the Theatre is certainly fraught with many thrills and chills, to quote that iconoclastic thespian, Lou Reed. I hope my gifts have been received in as I have intended them to be and god bless you all and god bless america.

Mr. VEX, the stagehand

Casselli's "THEATRE" will be closing this week. It's time to introduce Mr. Vex, the stagehand, the curtain riser!

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

On With the Show!

Hi folks,
Since both Michael and Migiwa are out of town this week, I'll be filling in as box office, usher and projectionist through Friday. Also, it looks like I'll be following Casselli and Rani Crowe in early March with an electronic installation, so I'll be posting updates throughout the rest of February as the next 2000+ solder points connect nixie tubes and arduinos... but i should hush now, because the lights just went down and it looks like the conductor's about to start up the orchestra...

Show times this week:
02/02 Tuesday 6:30pm
02/03 Wednesday 7pm
02/04 Thursday 7pm
And in response to overwhelming popular demand, three (3!) back to back shows this
Friday February 5th! 6:30pm, 7pm, 7:30pm!

The public is also invited to each morning's unannounced reversal/rehearsal of "Theater". Catch as catch can.

The Show Must Go On!!!!!!!!

There was an unfortunate act of vandalism to the booth, causing the theatre to remain dark for more than a week. The problem has been fixed and I am once again presenting shows. Here are the showtimes for the rest of the week:
Wednesday 7:30 pm
Thursday 7:30 pm
Friday 9:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 pm
Sunday 7:00 pm
I will be away in Scotland from the 1st through the 4th so stay tuned for guest presenters Migiwa Orimo and Tim Noble to publish their schedules for the time I am away.

Will be posting showtimes if people want to see the start of Theatre. No late seating and please turn your cell phones off.
